In autumn, in the heart of the Langhe territory, two events will take place to celebrate food pairing of great excellence at international level. The event will be called  “The Ultimate Truffle Dinner”. The idea is to match and pair in an exclusive event, thanks to the know-how of Michelin-starred chefs Ugo Alciati and Flavio Costa who will pair The White Truffle of Alba with unique elements of the international cuisine; oysters and Kobe beef veal, caviar, foie gras, Champagne and Barolo wine. The dinners will take place on 25th October at "Guido Ristorante" with chef Ugo Alciati and on 20th November at the Restaurant "21.9" with chef Flavio Costa. The proceeds of these prestigious events, open to the public, will be allocated to the project “Breathe the Truffle”, the first crowdfunding campaign to safeguard the natural environment of the White Truffle of Alba.

FLAVIO COSTA:

The location of the Restaurant is wonderful and retains its elegant and elitist charm: overlooking the wild Roero and guarded by two stone lions that watch the entrance, the Tenuta Carretta di Piobesi d'Alba is certainly one of the most evocative wineries at the left of the river Tanaro. Since 1467 his nature is to be a productive structure (the winery is surrounded by an amphitheatre-shaped vineyard of 35 acres where some of the most representative wines of the company are born), furthermore its historic architectural facility, impressive and spacious, allowed to build within its walls a charming hotel with 10 rooms and a restaurant. The menu of 21.9 will be full of natural elements – both from the earth and the sea, featuring an innovative cuisine focusing also on the revival of some "iconic" dishes created by Flavio Costa.
