Born in Putignano (BA) in 1988, at 14 years of age Pasquale Laera works in a restaurant of his village, run by master Ottavio who he affectionately calls Brother.

After two years at high school specializing in classical studies he realizes that his true calling is another one, and he moves on to the hotel and catering school.  He attends ALMA, the cooking school of Gualtiero Marchesi in Parma where he met some great masters, but his true mentor is Antonino Cannavacciuolo.

In 2011 he becomes sous chef at Villa Crespi, and when in 2013 chef Cannavacciuolo starts his partnership with Il Boscareto Resort & SPA, as catering activities consultant, he appoints him Executive Chef.

Years ago, a journey from Southern Italy up North, led Antonino Cannavacciuolo to Piedmont. Following his master's footsteps, the enfant prodige takes the same path. They are both united by an endless passion and energy relentlessly leading to culinary perfection.

Pasquale's cuisine reflects his strong personality: Piedmontese traditions are enhanced in every single dish by the encounter with the South Mediterranean, resulting thus in some unique combinations.
