The Association for the International Fair of the Alba White Truffle was constituted in July 2003 with the aim of organising and promoting the Alba Truffle Fair.

It is a non-profit organisation whose founding members are, among others, the Municipality of Alba, the Merchants Association and the Tournament of the Hundred Towers.

It is presided over by Regional Counsellor Alberto Cirio and consists of a Managing Committee whose members, besides the President, include Counsellors Emilio Cravanzola, Sergio Vacchetti, PierCarlo Verney, Scarzello Federico, Lampugnani Massimo, Guglielmoni Maria Cristina and Roberto Cerrato.

After its striking debut in 2003 the Association for the International Fair of the White Alba Truffle is now busy organising the forthcoming Fair and, while being fully conscious of its capability of undergoing continuous change, it still abides by its traditional, primary objective: that of promoting one of the products of excellence of this territory, the white Alba truffle, as well as enhancing the City of Alba in terms of culture and tourism and that of the Langhe and the Roero in terms of their art, traditions and enogastronomic heritage.

“Thus, the formal recognition of the internationality of the Fair that the Association was able to secure in 2006 will allow to carry out its tasks on an even larger, better structured scale, and to enhance the City’s enogastronomic, cultural and historical traditions in a wide-ranging context.

The Association’s commitment to business activities and tourism that are attracting tourists from all over Europe has been rewarded a prize, presented by Giovanni Caracciolo, Regional Advisor for Fairs, and endorsed by the Piedmont Region. Thus, within its field, the Fair of the White Alba Truffle is today Italy’s sole international event.”
