The tour includes a guided visit to three underground sites and ends at the F. Eusebio Civic Museum, and lasts approximately one hour and 40 minutes.

Since the days of Alba Pompeia (as the city was called during the centuries of the Roman Empire), the present historical centre has seen the succession of generations of cities on the same site.
The medieval city was built on the remains of the Roman one, the modern city took its place without completely erasing it, and so on, until the present city, which is unconsciously marked by the urban features of Alba Pompeia.
Much of the last two thousand years of history has been preserved in the city’s underground, a few metres below the streets and pavements, fragments of vanished cities, ancestors of today’s Alba, which make up the rich heritage of the F. Eusebio Museum, the Monumental Archaeological Route of the city and its many underground routes.

WHERE
Tours depart from the meeting point in front of the Town Hall or the Tourist Office in Piazza Risorgimento no. 1 or 2 (also known as “Piazza del Duomo”).
Participants are kindly asked to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the selected time.

Each tour has a minimum and maximum number of participants, so early booking is recommended. Bookings made through the website www.ambientecultura.it by the Wednesday before the tour are eligible for discounts and reductions.
