capitolo della giostra – Presentation of “Drappo” and “Amico della Giostra”

Saturday, 19 September 2026, the Beppe Fenoglio Hall in Alba will host a highly anticipated event of the Giostra delle Cento Torri, during which the Palio Banner 2026 and the name of its creator will be officially unveiled.

The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of the banner, created for this edition by Riccardo Cordero, an internationally renowned sculptor. His work will combine contemporary artistic expression with the historical identity of the territory, resulting in the prestigious prize that the city’s boroughs will compete for during the event.

The “Friend of the Giostra” Award will also be presented to Silvana Fiora, a heartfelt and well-deserved recognition marking the twentieth anniversary of the publication of the newspaper dedicated to the Giostra, which she has curated with passion, dedication and an unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting local history.
