The Truffle New Year marks the official beginning of the new Alba White Truffle hunting season and represents the first event leading the territory toward the 96th International Alba White Truffle Fair.
On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the Teatro Sociale “G. Busca” in Alba will host an evening open to the community, dedicated to the values that make the human, cultural, and landscape heritage of the Langhe so unique. It will be an opportunity to share the message and vision of the 2026 edition of the Fair, encapsulated in the claim “Authentic Relationships”, celebrating the deep connection between people, places, traditions, and nature.
Organized in collaboration with the “Profondo Umano” Festival, the evening will feature poet Tiziana Cera Rosco in conversation with Francesco Occhetto during the talk “In the Globules of a Constellation”, a moment of reflection and dialogue exploring the value of human connections and the relational dimension that unites us.
During the evening, the 96th International Alba White Truffle Fair will also be officially presented to the local community and the press. Guiding this special moment will be the renowned DJ and radio host La Pina.
Following the presentation, the evocative parade of the Union of Piedmontese Truffle Hunters’ Associations will depart from Piazza Michele Ferrero. Truffle hunters and their inseparable dogs will lead the public on a symbolic walk towards Piazza Risorgimento.
The event will be held in Italian and will take place in the Sala Storica of the Teatro Sociale “G. Busca” in Alba.
