A unique opportunity to appreciate the enogastronomic richness of our territory and its rarest and most precious product: the White Truffle of Alba, but also the extraordinary cultural and enogastronomic heritage of the City of Biella.

MeBo Museum, the only museum in Italy to host two companies under the same roof, is a project born at the end of 2019 that unites two of the most important agri-food companies in the Biella area: Birra Menabrea and Botalla Formaggi.
A museum project born not only from the geographic proximity between the two production plants, which have been facing each other for more than 70 years, but also from the deep friendship that binds the two CEOs of Birra Menabrea and Botalla Formaggi, Franco Thedy and Andrea Bonino, respectively.
Inside MeBo, an exceedingly original museum, one enters Casa Botalla, where one learns about the ancient tools, used for the production of butter and cheese, until arriving at the Sbirro room, the first beer cheese made in Italy and a symbolic product of the union of the two companies.
Continuing along the path we then get to know Casa Menabrea, the area dedicated to Italy’s oldest active brewery. Strolling among restored utensils and antique bottles of beer and seltzer, we retrace the stages of beer production, the ingredients used to make it and the 100-year history of the Menabrea and Thedy family.
Finally, at the end of the tour, you discover the exciting new Experience wing, opened at the end of 2021 and dedicated to the total involvement of the viewer, a unique and exciting space full of colors, scents and flavors.

TRUFFLE SENSORY ANALYSIS
Smelling the scent of Tuber magnatum Pico, the precious and rare of Alba White Truffl, is certainly easy and pleasant, but far more difficult is encoding its finer organoleptic characteristics. Truffle sensory analysis can help you: an immersive experience led by Sensory Analysis judges from the National Center for Study of Truffle, in which to discover the organoleptic characteristics of Tuber magnatum Pico.
