The cultural association LAC Langhe Arte Cultura, founded with the aim of disseminating values and cultural-artistic content on the territory through the creation of projects, events and exhibitions, is pleased to announce the 1st Edition of LanghePhotoFestival, the new project dedicated to photographic art.
The LanghePhotoFestival will take place in the historic center of Neive, a village in the heart of the Langhe, from 3 September to 5 November.
The Festival will come to life a large outdoor photo exhibition, which will involve three internationally recognized photographers, through large format photographic installations positioned not only in strategic points between the streets of the village but also in paths to be redeveloped.
The theme of the 1st Edition of the Festival will embrace in its broadest horizons the multiple dimensions linked to the meaning of the word TO LIVE.
Through evolved looks in photographic shots, Davide Monteleone, Sara Nicomedi and Flavia Rossi will open different perspectives on the topic, highlighting what seems too obvious to be important, and that also contributes widely on what we observe today in our cities, in our countries and in nature. We want to deepen the centrality of man in the relationship with his community and the environment that surrounds him, elements that profoundly shape the identity of the individual and the form of society. And so it is here, in the streets of a historic center immersed in the perfection of the hills that have been inhabited for a long time, that we ask ourselves the most “obvious” questions: what does it mean to live? What makes us feel at home? How are we evolving the space of the world given to us?
The Contest
In the months before the Festival, from April 26 to June 30, will be launched the Photo Contest in which everyone, both amateurs and professionals of all ages can participate.
The Contest will have as central theme the landscape, anyone can get involved through the candidacy of their photographs (from a minimum of 1 photograph to a maximum of 5 photographs) through the page of the Contest linked to the website of LanghePhotoFestival.

The Finalists of the Contest will be dedicated to the exhibition of the photographs selected within the exhibition circuit in the village of Neive and for the duration of LanghePhotoFestival.
The jury that will select the finalists of the contest will be composed of 3 professionals: Silvia Carapellese, representative fujifilm Italy, official partner of the festival; Alberto Selvestrel, photographer and Fujifilm Ambassador, and Bruno Murialdo, the well-known photographer of the territory.
3 will be the Winners of the Contest, selected directly by the photographer protagonist of the 1st Edition Davide Monteleone, who will win the following 3 prizes:
1 Fujifilm X-T30 II + Fujinon XF 18-55 mm award, offered by Fujifilm Italy;
Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO Camera Award, offered by RiflessiShop of Turin;
Fujifilm Instax Link Wide award, offered by RiflessiShop of Turin.
Inauguration
Sunday, September 3 will be the opening date of the entire outdoor exhibition, a day in which the same photographers will hold conferences and talks open to the public, with different characters in the industry. In addition, during the day, will be announced the 3 winners of the Contest, which will win prizes.
The festival aims to excite people in the world of photographic art, stimulating the eye of professionals and amateurs to investigate issues related to the environment and the enhancement of the territory.
The goal is to make people communicate, give them a voice, through the tool and the photographic language as a means of research and sharing, raising awareness and highlighting fundamental issues for the maintenance, sustainability, development and future of our places.
The exhibition will be open for free and continuously advertised until 5 November 2023.
