Pelissero Az. Agricola Vitivinicola

The Pelissero Winery, located in Treiso in the heart of the production area of Barbaresco, was born in the early twentieth century as a family business, cultivating the land, which at that time represented the greatest livelihood for the majority of families.

In 1960 Luigi Pelissero began to produce the first bottles of wine, so it was gradually passed from the sale to the vinification of all the grapes obtained from its vineyards. At the end of the 80s Giorgio, Luigi’s son (who represents the third generation) introduced many innovations and it is thanks to him that the wine has managed to travel outside the Italian border The Pelissero family personally takes care of all the products, from pruning to marketing. They get, from about 42 hectares of vineyard, 250,000 bottles per year, which are divided into several labels: Barbaresco Vanotu (where Vanotu is the diminutive in dialect of John, grandfather of George), Barbaresco Tulin and Nubiola, Nebbiolo, Long Now, Dolcetto Augenta and Munfrina, Barbera Piani and Tulin, Favorita, Riesling, Mosto and Moscato. Through commitment, passion and hard work in the vineyard and in the winery the company seeks, with perseverance, to produce high quality wines. It has always been the only path pursued but which has given great satisfaction.
