Gentle hills dotted with orchards, hazelnut groves, fields and vineyards, interwoven with woodlands, wild ravines and rugged sandstone formations: this is the Roero, a land whose defining feature is its extraordinary biodiversity.
The Roero Food District (Distretto del Cibo del Roero) has made this richness its hallmark.
Twenty-six municipalities, ten associations, businesses, cultural organizations and tourism promotion bodies have joined forces to showcase the very best of the area on the left bank of the Tanaro River.
During this tasting experience, we will discover the most authentic flavors of Roero through a journey of genuine products and local traditions. Together, we will explore Guarene’s Madernassa pears and Canale’s peaches, the strawberries of Sommariva Perno and Baldissero d’Alba, goat cheeses, cured meats from free-range black pigs, Bra’s renowned veal sausage, Bra DOP cheese in both its soft and hard varieties, Golden Humpback Tinca fish, Roero Arneis DOCG and Roero DOCG wines, as well as hazelnuts, honeys, preserves, fruit juices and distinctive premium spirits.
A unique and engaging experience that brings together the stories of villages and people whose culinary traditions have been passed down for centuries.
