Weekend truffle sensory analysis

Discover the World of the Alba White Truffle through Sensory Analysis

The scent of Tuber magnatum Picco, the renowned Alba White Truffle, is unmistakable. But identifying its most subtle sensory characteristics requires attention, sensitivity, and knowledge.

Truffle Sensory Analysis is an engaging and educational activity led by expert judges from the National Centre for the Study of Truffles, who will guide you through an olfactory and descriptive journey to learn how to recognize and evaluate the qualities of Tuber magnatum Picco.

During the experience, you will learn:

  • How to identify a high-quality truffle
  • What its main sensory characteristics are
  • How to store it properly
  • How to best appreciate it

Through olfactory tests, practical exercises, and the use of specific evaluation sheets, you will enter the world of sensory analysis applied to truffles, learning how to describe their aroma precisely and consciously.

The event is simultaneously translated into English.
