“WILLIAM KENTRIDGE. BREATHE”

Thanks to the synergy between the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rivoli, from 21st  September to 8th December, the Church of San Domenico will host the exhibition “William Kentridge. Breathe”, curated by the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art

The artist

William Kentridge, one of the most famous South African artists on an international level, expresses himself mainly through animated short films made with a personal technique, drawing, erasing and redrawing always on very few sheets, filming and editing the various phases in sequence. His works investigate the nature of memory and emotions, the complexity of conflicts in the age of globalization and suggest a vision of life which is both elegiac and dramatic, a vision always in constant change and in balance between ethics, responsibility and poetry.
