On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November, for the second year in a row, the historic buildings of Asti will open their doors to the flavours and aromas of the Alba White Truffle and the wines presented by the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e vini del Monferrato and Consorzio dell’Asti DOCG.
This is a unique opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the products of excellence of the Piedmontese autumn thanks to show cookings, sensory analysis and wine tasting, as well as training meetings and unmissable shopping opportunities at the truffle market exhibition and the regional Truffle Fair.
The historic buildings of the city will host the “Truffle Market”, a unique place where you can buy the Tuber magnatum Pico with the quality standards guaranteed by the Quality Commission that monitors every single specimen of Alba White Truffle. Each truffle will be certified, ensuring thus top quality and safety of purchase. The “Consumer Help Desk”, chaired by the Quality Control panel, will be available throughout the whole period of the Market to inform consumers about their purchase rights, collect reports and give advice on the conservation and consumption of truffles.
The scheduled events also include the Foodies Moments, that is, the show cookings where the Alba White Truffle of Alba meets the signature haute cuisine. Led by Michelin-starred chefs as well as by chefs from the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas and some of the most prestigious Italian and international restaurants, the Foodies Moments are a showcase focused on the creative gesture driving the country’s best cuisines in the creation of dishes where the the Alba White Truffle is the protagonist.
The Truffle Sensory Analysis events guided by the judges of the Sensory Analysis panel of the National Truffle Studies Centre will also be scheduled, as well as the Wine Tasting events.
