National Alba White Truffle Fair Organization

The National Alba White Truffle Fair – a non-profit association – was established on 18th July 2003 by the Municipality of Alba, the Associazione Commercianti Albesi and the Giostra delle Cento Torri.

The purpose of the Fair Organization is to carry out activities for the Alba White Truffle Fair and for promotional events in Alba.

In 2007, the Fair was acknowledged as an “International” event attracting numerous tourists from all over the world: the food and wine culture has always been the main pull factor.
In 2016, the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies included the International Alba White Truffle Fair among the 12 main national events, together with Vinitaly, Cibus and the Salone del Gusto.
Since 2010, the Fair Organization organizes and promotes the wines of its territory through Vinum, the National Wine Fair of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato with over 550 labels for tasting.
In 2017 the Bocuse d’Or Italy Academy was born, an initiative managed and coordinated by the Fair Organization; on 1st October 2017, the Italian Selection Bocuse d’Or was held in Alba, which appointed Chef Martino Ruggieri as Head Chef at the three-star Pavillon Lodoyen Restaurant in Paris. Ruggieri will lead Team Italia to the European selection in Turin in June 2018.
The purpose of the Fair Organization is to enhance a product as well as a food and wine identity; a city, as well as a whole territory which is a Unesco World Heritage site.
